1. Overview
ThermAdapt is designed as a fully offline, privacy-first application. We do not operate servers, we do not collect your data, and we do not transmit any information about you or your health to third parties. All data you enter into the App is stored exclusively on your device.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
During onboarding and ongoing use, you may enter the following information, which is stored locally on your device:
- Demographics: age, biological sex, height, weight
- Health conditions: chronic illnesses, relevant diagnoses (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, heart disease)
- Medications: types and categories that may affect thermal therapy safety
- Pregnancy status
- Experience level with thermal therapy modalities
- Equipment owned
- Training schedule (resistance and cardio days)
- Session data: temperatures, durations, pre/post ratings, breathing methods
- Daily check-in data: sleep quality, soreness, motivation, hydration
- Menstrual cycle phase (optional)
- Symptom severity (for users in therapeutic pathways)
Information Collected Automatically
ThermAdapt does not collect analytics, crash reports, usage statistics, or any telemetry automatically. No tracking SDKs or analytics libraries are embedded in the App.
3. How We Use Your Information
All information you provide is used exclusively to:
- Generate personalized thermal therapy protocols tailored to your goals and safety profile
- Apply safety screening to prevent potentially harmful session recommendations
- Track your progress and session history
- Provide context-aware insights and educational content
This processing occurs entirely on your device. No information is sent to us or any third party.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device using industry-standard mobile storage practices. The security of your data is subject to the security of your device. We recommend using device-level security (PIN, biometrics) to protect your phone. We are not responsible for unauthorized access to your data resulting from device compromise.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third party. There are no advertising partners, data brokers, or analytics services associated with ThermAdapt.
6. App Store Privacy Disclosures
In compliance with applicable app store requirements — including Google Play's Data Safety section and Apple App Store's App Privacy (Nutrition Label) disclosures — we provide the following summary:
- Data collected: Health and fitness information as described in Section 2
- Data sharing: None — your data is never shared with third parties
- Data security: All data is stored locally on-device; no data is transmitted over the internet
- Data deletion: You can delete all app data by uninstalling the App or clearing app data through your device settings
- Sensitive data: The App handles sensitive health information including medical conditions and menstrual cycle data
- Tracking: The App does not track users across other apps or websites and does not use any advertising or analytics identifiers
Google Play (Android)
The above information is reflected in the Data Safety form filed with Google Play Console. The App does not share any data with third parties and all data is stored on-device only.
Apple App Store (iOS)
The above information is reflected in the App Privacy section of the App Store listing. Under Apple's framework, ThermAdapt collects Health & Fitness data and Other Data (demographics) solely for App Functionality. No data is used for tracking, advertising, or shared with third parties.
7. Children's Privacy
ThermAdapt is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has used the App, please contact us and we will provide guidance on removing the data from the device.
8. Your Rights
Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You may:
- View your data: accessible through the Profile and Progress screens within the App
- Edit your data: update your profile and health information at any time in the App
- Delete your data: uninstall the App or clear app data via your device settings (Android: Settings → Apps → ThermAdapt → Clear Data; iOS: long-press app icon → Remove App)
- Export your data: use the App's built-in data export feature (available in Settings)
9. Third-Party Services
ThermAdapt does not integrate with any third-party data services, advertising networks, or analytics platforms in this version. Future versions of the App may introduce optional features (such as cloud backup) that involve third-party services; such changes will be clearly disclosed and will require your explicit opt-in.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify you through the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
